So Technology Hates Me

Posted in Site Info on May 27, 2008 by gamewhisperer

*Another Update: Good news everybody I’m back up and going. I’ve got a new computer and everything so we should be good from here on out. Check back in tomorrow night for a long awaited update, I will finally post my thoughts on the rumored Metroid movie and I may even have a review ready, I hope you check back in.

*Update: Well things haven’t gone quite as I planned, I can’t get the article I typed on my iPod to post through it, though this update seems to be working just fine… Maybe it has to do with the length of the post, I’m not sure. So it seems I’m going to be waiting a little longer to really get anymore posts coming, I’ve got a new computer on the way so, whenever it arrives I’ll be back up and going.

____I’ve had some unfortunate major meltdowns with my laptop lately so updates are going to be a little scarce for the next couple weeks. As of right now I’m typing this with my thumbs on my iPod… not exactly the most comfortable way to write, I must say. I managed to type out a whole post though so check in tonight when I weigh in on the rumors that Michael Bay has been selected as the producer of the nearly forgotten Metroid Movie.

With Rare finally unveiling the unorthodox, new edition in the popular Banjo-Kazooie series, what can we look forward too and what worries me?

*New Feature: Game Whispering’s are going to be my weekly rant, in each edition I will pick apart a controversial happening in the gaming world, offering up my opinion and opening the floor for readers to give their opinions in the comments section. If you know of an issue in the gaming world you want talked about just email me or put it in the comments section.

____Gamings favorite furry duo is finally coming back after an 8 year hiatus from console gaming, but don’t expect a return to form. Earlier this week Rare finally lifted the veil on its premiere platformer, after making eager gamers wait since the X06 teaser trailer nearly 2 years ago– just to get a taste of what the game will offer. One thing is for sure with Banjo-threeie… it’s going to be different… very different. Make the jump to find out more. Continue reading

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts talk tonight!

____Just wanted to let anyone who’s been reading know that I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth. I know it has been a few days since the last post but don’t worry I’m going to get things up and running again starting tonight, since my semester at school is finally over. I had a ton of finals to take care of, as well as wrapping up an internship which required a 10 page paper… so writing wasn’t exactly at the top of my “want to do” list. But if your still listening check back toninght, I will weigh in on the new style of Banjo-Kazooie that was revealed last week. Do I like it? Do I hate it, check back later tonight to find out.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King Review

A Final Fantasy game that will make you wish you were playing Final Fantasy.

____Monday’s North American WiiWare launch managed to completely overshadow the launch of the service in its native country of Japan. With a game like Lost Winds launching with the service in the west, gamers had a lot to be happy about. But what about that other game, with the really big franchise backing it… what was that again? Oh yeah, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles; I almost forgot about you.

____In all seriousness though, I really did completely forget about FFCC:MLK, I was just too attached to Lost Winds, beating it twice before I finally gave FFCC a chance. All that changed pretty quickly when I finally got a chance to play it though, because I can’t put it down now. Make the jump to find out more. Continue reading

Man We Had a Great Day!

Posted in Site Info on May 14, 2008 by gamewhisperer

It seems my Lost Winds review got pretty popular last night, because we had the best day traffic wise since the launch of the site. I just wanted to thank everybody that tuned in last night and today to look at the review, for helping in that accomplishment. Unfortunately no official update tonight, I just got off work (I went there at 9 a.m. and left just about an hour ago at 11 p.m.) so I’m a little to wiped, but I hope you’ll swing by tomorrow night, I’m going to do something a little more old school.

And on the topic of how well the review did yesterday, I’ve decided to try and do at least one review a week now. It seems everybody likes them and I like to write them so it’s a win win situation.

I hope everyone noticed that in commemoration of Lost Winds I added the lovable hero Toku to the banner, I think he makes a nice addition. Anyways I’ll catch up with all of you tomorrow.

Till Then,

Does Frontier Developments WiiWare platformer meet expectations, or does it blow hard?

WiiWare is finally here Wii owners and from the look of things it may be off to a great start.
